The Christmas Valley neighborhood (located just past Meyers) is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast! If you love to snowshoe, ski, mountain bike, boulder, snowmobile, hike, and fish, this area is surrounded by tall mountains with Upper Truckee River, Luther Pass, and Echo Summit running right through the area. While you may have to drive about 10 to 15 minutes to beaches, two resorts known as locals’ favorites, Kirkwood and Sierra At Tahoe, are close by.

The streets are Christmas themed with names like Blitzen and Santa Claus. This area is also broken up into a few different areas. One runs from HWY 50 to the Luther Pass base along the South Upper Truckee River while the other runs along the other side of the river and backs to forest and meadows.
